Kristoffer Rus

After finishing inter-arts studies at Lund University and later film school in Stockholm, Kristoffer started to work as an editor and cameraman for TV 4 in Sweden. At the same time he was writing scripts and directing shorts. The short film The Apple Tree was aired on swedish television, it was awarded and recognized at film festivals like Cannes, Marrakech and Palm Springs. In 2007, Kristoffer decided to go back to his slavic roots. He got enrolled at Andrzej Wajda Film School where he developed and later shot a film called Street Feeling. Kristoffer is currently working both in Sweden and in Poland. He directs TV-series for polish national television. He has recently been granted funds for his new 30-minute film THE NATURALS. And most recently Kristoffer started working on the adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel “Masakra Profana” by Jarosław Stawirej.

Po zakończeniu nauki na Uniwersytecie Lund i w szkole filmowej w Sztokholmie, Kristoffer zaczął pracę jako wydawca i operator dla szwedzkiej telewizji TV 4. W tym samym czasie pisał scenariusze i reżyserował filmy krótkometrażowe. Film The Apple Tree został wyemitowany w szwedzkiej telewizji a zdobywszy coraz większe uznanie, został nagrodzony na festiwalach filmowych w Cannes, Marrakeszu i Palm Springs. W 2007 roku Kristoffer postanowił powrócić do swoich słowiańskich korzeni. Dostał się do Mistrzowskiej Szkoły Reżyserii Filmowej Andrzeja Wajdy, gdzie nakręcił swój film Street Feeling. Kristoffer pracuje obecnie w Szwecji i w Polsce. Jest reżyserem serialu w Telewizji Polskiej. Niedawno przyznano mu fundusz na realizacje nowego filmu The Naturals. Pracuje także nad adaptacją filmową powieści “Masakra Profana” Jarosława Stawireja.
